Does the Weather Affect Your Interviewer’s Mood?

Stephen Dubner, author of Freakonomics, shares an interesting insight on how weather may affect interviews:

[Medical school students] who interviewed on rainy days received about a 1 percent lower score than those interviewed on sunny days… The difference in scores was equivalent to about a 10 percent lower total mark on the Medical College Admission Test.

    I've always been interested in what influences an interviewer's decision making process, aside from the candidate's answers that is. Does the day of the week play apart? Hairstyle? Layout of the interview room? Im particularly interested in what psychodynamic therapists refer to as transference. What if the candidate looks like or reminds the interviewer of someone they know? Will that influence the outcome in anyway?
